Wagging Dog

Welcome to the Club

Tailwaggers was started by Arthur and Sylvia when Arthur retired from the Metropolitan Police after spending over 20 years in the Dog Section. During his time in the section Arthur received many Commendations for work with his dogs as well as the "Quest Trophy" for the Top Dog and Handler. With his second dog he won the Metropolitan Police Dog trials and it was through this that Arthur became a senior trainer with Wood Green Dog Club, training civilian dogs in Obedience, Agility, Social Behaviour and Working Trials, and it's this experience that Arthur brings to Tailwaggers Dog Club. Our aim is for the owners to be at complete ease when walking and exercising their pet dogs. The club also runs a very busy "Show Team". Keep those tails Wagging. The club is based in Little Clacton Village Hall, London Road, Little Clacton and is reasonably priced.

Basics for owning a puppy

Never buy on impulse
Remember the average lifespan of a dog is 12/14 years, so it's a long term commitment both for you and the rest of the family.
Decide which breed of dog suits your lifestyle and home - also the size of garden you have.
Dogs demand a lot of time and attention, particularly puppies.
Take into consideration your daily routine and how long you are away from home during the day.
Dogs like companionship and shouldn't be left alone for hours on end.
